So sorry to hear you are closing your shop. I sell in California also, but am not required to have a business license unless I gross more than $5,000 a year. I know every county and city are different, but do check with yours to be sure you really have to have one. Also, if you use your name in the name of your "business" then you do not have to file a fictitious business statement. I do have a resale permit because I do a lot of shows and they require it, but I still do not have to have a business license because the sales I have IN MY CITY do not exceed $5,000 a year.
